Watermelon Rush

My Watermelon Rush
So in honor of summer and having way too much ripe Watermelon in the house, I froze about 15 cubes. Why? A smoothie (or maybe this is a slurpee?)

Frozen Watermelon
Watermelon juice (about 5tbsp or enough to make smooth)
a pinch of salt (Optional.)

I put less than 1tsp but I suggest to add it to taste. I thought a tiny bit brought out the flavor. Cool refreshing and healthy, this is a taste of summer not to be missed!

Purple People Eater Smoothie

Frozen Blueberries
Frozen cherries
Frozen strawberries
cran-grape juice 
a packet of equal.

If you don't add a tiny bit of sweetener, it tastes like it requires alcohol. It is very sour without the sweetener.

Tropical Twist

Frozen strawberries
Frozen cherries
a ripe banana
Frozen blueberries
Dole orange-pineapple juice.

Berry Blend Smoothie

Frozen strawberries
Frozen blueberries
Frozen dark/sweet cherries
a ripe banana along 
V8 strawberry/banana juice 
raspberry cranberry juice.

Banana-Berry Smoothie

1 spotted banana
about 20 frozen blueberries
about 8 frozen dark/sweet cherries
about 12 frozen strawberries
2 cups of V8 strawberry banana juice.

Lighter than the Creamy Banana-berry smoothie, this one boasts a slightly stronger flavor while including vegis! Thanks to V8 for sneaking them in!

Ruby Red - Creamy

Frozen Strawberries 
Frozen Dark red cherries
Frozen Raspberries
Banana 
1% Milk

Creamy Banana-Berry Smoothie

1 cup Frozen Strawberries
1/2 cup Frozen blueberries
1/2 cup Frozen dark cherries
1/2 cup 1% milk
1 medium banana (normally with just 1 or two brown spots).

Makes a TON (see pic) and is 275 cal for the whole pitcher.
(but very low fat, and considering you get 2000 cal per day giving you another 1725 that's not bad).
If it is still a little cal high, use skim instead or pick one of the fruit flavors of V8. I like V-fusion Light Strawberry Banana.

This serving size is also enough to split for a mommy and me size (1 med, 1 small) and that would make it a small number of cal per person.
